Holi

view page

The trees smile with their sprout
of tender leaves and blooming flowers,
Eternal nature with its transient expression.
Hails spring with ecstasy and joy!
Bewildering shades with so many tinge.
The land of beauty and greatness,
India, witnessing color of happiness and peace.
Nation come alive to enjoy the spirit
A celebration of color- Holi!
An experience of content, harmony and delight.

Holika burns amidst merriment and mirth.
Evil overpowered by love and devotion.
A festival to commemorate 'Ras Lila'-
an enduring love saga of Radha and Krishna.

Gulal - red, green, yellow and countless.
A day's canvas - a riot of colors.
Lively crowd running hither and thither,
Rainbow of colors, dashing from every nook and corner.
Disregarding their woe and despair fervent folks,
rejoicing at the marvel of colors.
A day filled with luster and gaiety,
A day to smear our dreams-
With a splash of vibrant frenzy colors.
Holi Hai! A spring of unbounded fun and frolic!!

Republic day

We Indians are very proud to celebrate Republic day
Protected by soldiers in the border who never sway
Hear me, I just have few things to say
Reading this you may decide your own way

Over the years that has past
'26th Jan is just another holiday', I thought
With the very recent wisdom I have got
I salute the leaders who had fought

I hear the media 'flash news' and end up in tear
'Will there be more news on bomb blasts?', I fear
Horrible living in the midst of terrorism and war
Is this what the great Mahatma dreamt for?

Why blame the Politicians and Government who don't repent
Hey! As an individual I wont relent
For the election freebies and compliments they recommend
I shall say 'NO' and will not bend

Let's not watch the cricketer's zeroes
And stay away from the Corruption bureaus
Our great Jawans have nothing but only sorrows
Let us bow our heads for those real life heroes

Pay your tax, be very brave, take the wise decision today
Don't you wish your grand children to happily play?
We Indians are very proud to celebrate Republic day
Protected by soldiers in the border who never sway

We the youth, let's speak the truth
Sathya Meva Jayathe!

Independence day

The tea went in the sea
It started with a Big Bang
Brave men longed to be free
long before the bell rang

The war took its toll
though battles were won
Liberty was the goal
of almost everyone

In order to form a perfect union
The preamble was written
as they offered a communion
before the soldiers were smitten

Ideals stood firm in the revolution,
some have been lost along the way,
as democracy is another evolution.
Nothing's louder than Independence Day

Diwali

Diwali- lights lamps of knowledge full,
Blasts symbols of sorrows and clears space,
Shoots rockets of prosperity like big bull,
And clears tensions from the face.
Fires crackers of happiness all the world know,
Sparkles fragrance of love in the mind of foe,
Echoes chants of divinity rightly so.

Fulfills one and all with contended ray,
Pease, prosperity and happiness shown,
Lightens troubles like air, to all’s satisfaction say,
Deepens the love like ocean, proves it to your own.
Makes friendship as solid as diamond to stand and shine;
Makes success as bright as gold mine,
Happy- Happy Diwali- bless us power, “Divine”.

Rain, Rain, Rain, come again and again,
In the winter, in the summer and in spring,
Come with joy, fall with happiness and go with sorrow,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.

Rain, Rain, Rain come to relive earth's pain,
Rain, Rain, Rain come to make nature happy,
Rain, Rain, Rain come to make livings happy,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.

Rain, Rain, Rain don't go away,
Rain, Rain, Rain i hope you will stay,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.

Earth

Earth is the most wonderful heavenly creation,
For human to live with good intention.
To do a work, there are innovations.
To learn from nature, are many lessons.
But for our mere enjoyment and fun,
As most dangerous enemies of nature we turn.
Cutting trees and devastating thick forests,
To setup industries for human interests.
Not caring about nature we move ahead,
Brutally killing animals, to earn some bread.
We need to change our mind set,
And preserve our planet that is great.
Only then future generation can survive,
And even keep the history of mankind alive.

Mars

mars
Martians are coming,
Martians are here,
From the fourth planet,
Oh-my and oh-dear!
Their planet looks red,
From iron oxide,
What should we do?
Run, fight, or hide?
Their planet's named Mars,
Half of Earth’s size,
But those Martians look giant,
Have lasers for eyes!

I guess the Mars rovers,
Don’t work too well,
Can’t spot Martian life,
That I can tell,
Martians are here,
A fact we can’t hide,
They came in a spaceship,
A long, long, long ride!
News is now out,
From Fiji to France,
Martians are friendly,
They came here to dance!
